An Evening of Poetry, Discussions And Conversations among Poets, Artists And Lovers of Poetry

Admission is FREE (We will 'Pass the Hat' to help defray the costs of desserts.)

Come to the Black Feather Retreat Artists' and Writers' Colony in beautiful Sullivan County, NY (one hour from NYC) and spend an evening with poets and poetry lovers. Experience the delightful company of others, like yourself, who enjoy listening to and reading poetry.

Performances and readings beginning at 6:30 PM: Haiku, Shakespeare, Psalms, Beats, Rap, Musicians, Free Verse, Bound Verse, Re-Verse, discussions, lectures and other activities.

Our Artists/Models Day will end with 'Open Mic' readings that will recreate the atmosphere of the Beat Generation. Poetry Slam.

Have your poetry presented at the Poetry, the Other Voice - An Evening of Poetry in the Catskills. At the Black Feather Retreat in Westbrookville, NY. You may or may not wish to read your own work (not everyone can stand in front of an audience and perform their own works.) If you do not wish to read your own work, I'm sure we will find a volunteer who will present them for you. Also, a representative of Markov Press will be on hand to discuss publishing strategies.
