            This is a piece of drapery fabric (a rose motif.)   This fabric is the same fabric used to back the dressing screen built with the bookbindings mentioned earlier.   The screen is constructed to allow the artist’s model using it to change into or out of her clothes to view the rose covered fabric, while those on the other side of the screen see a series of tall bookshelves.
