BEHAVIORAL OBJECTIVES:
1. The student will understand the role of transcription factors and concentration gradients with regards to differentiation of cells within an organism.
2. The student will become familiar with research done in sequencing the yeast genome.
3. The student will understand that the ability to activate or deactivate selected genes will provide researchers with vital tools to advance the science of molecular medicine.
